1 Cor. 3:12,13 "Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is." Gold, silver, and precious stones take great effort of searching and mining. Gold and silver have to be refined and purified. Precious stones must be precisely cut and polished. There's a lot of hard work and great care involved in the craftsmanship of these things, but not so much with wood, hay, and stubble. Gathering these flammable items that aren't worth much doesn't seem to be very tedious, but pretty "easy" work. Let's get busy and sincerely care for our service to God.
