Acts 17:10-11 - “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”  These verses remind us to receive, study and search the scriptures daily in a willing and ready mindset.  II Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”  Let’s remember to take time to daily read, study, mediate and apply God’s Word as the Berean Christians did.  - Clifford Myers

Proverbs 2:1,5 - "My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; ... Psalm 19:10 - "More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:  sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." On my way home this weekend from buying some things I needed for a hobby, the song from this verse popped in my head - made me think for a few minutes if my desire to read & spend time in God's Word was greater than the worldly joys I have.  Nothing wrong with hobbies, but I want to make sure I'm more excited about spending time with my Lord. - Jason Barrett

Psalms 119:105 - “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  The Bible when read and applied is compared to a lamp and a light for each step and path forward in our life.  Like using a flashlight at night to ensure one doesn’t trip or stumble, GOD promises that his Word will be a lamp and light to keep one from stumbling or tripping in their Christian walk.  Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”  Let’s remember to not forget daily Bible reading. - Clifford Myers

2 Peter 3:16 - "As also in all his [Paul] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." Beware other religions and doctrines that were made from taking God's Word out of context, twisting the meaning of a passage, or claiming contradictions (which is also taking out of context). Psalm 92:13-14 - "Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;". This is my hope and prayer and hopefully that of every Christian, flourishing and bearing fruit for Christ right into old age. This is not done by accident though. Psalm 119:9 - "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word." Do you have trouble with sin? Not sure how to overcome it? God gave us the perfect answer, His Word.  The verse says we must heed His Word, which means we have to be in it, to know it. Daily studying His Word will fill the gaps that sin has made and remake your wall to keep sin out. Don't take your reading lightly. - Joshua Gross
