Ezekiel 36:36-37 - "Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. God already knew the answer to their prayer and how He was going to answer it, but He was still waiting to hear them pray. I think it means that if we delight to do His will and His work then He will change our desires. That is something we should look forward to, not something that we should be afraid of.
