Matthew 7: 24-27 - “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”  The world tries everything in attempts to make their lives useful and tolerant of others. My grandchildren love to collect rocks. God states that when we abide in Christ, hear, digest and do what his Word instructs us to do than we are building our home and family on the true ROCK, Jesus Christ. As parents and grandparents, we need to always keep Christ as our ROCK for our family and lives no matter what storms may happen.  - Clifford Myers

Psalm 39:7 - "And now Lord what wait I for? My hope is in Thee." David realized how frail he was.  Until we get to a place where we see ourselves and then look up and see the Master and Creator of the universe we will struggle with understanding where our hope comes from.  We can hope in the One Who never changes and Who will never leave us nor forsake us. - Jason Brothers

Colossians 2:2,3 - "That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Verse 3 is a reflection through Christ of verse 2.
