God is calling Christian men everywhere to man up. The purpose of this blog is three-fold. Man up because the world needs men who will stand for righteousness. Man up because that is the direction we want to go in our spiritual lives. Man up because each man will be taking a turn providing an encouraging verse to the others (next man up). I pray it accomplishes its purposes. Jeremiah 29:13 - "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Genesis 40:6 - "And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad." After everything that Joseph has gone through, and then being thrown in prison, he still noticed and cared for others. Pastor has said several times that we won't be depressed if we stay busy and serve. Joseph didn't focus on his own circumstances or blamed anyone for his situations, but always stayed faithful to God and served. Remember the acronym for JOY: Jesus, Others, and then You. - Garrett Longest

Philippians 2:4 - "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." This is the Bible's antidote to depression. If I focus on my own hurts and woes, I'll easily slip into spiritual lethargy and self-pity. But if I shift my thoughts to care for others, I'll find myself energized and excited about how God is using me in the lives of others. - Daniel Holser
