Romans 8:18 - “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." With today being the fresh start, and we remember all that happened last year, remember what is waiting for us when we get to Heaven and don't forget to keep looking up. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." Proverbs 24:13-14 - "My son eat thou honey, because it is good and the honeycomb which is sweet to thy taste. So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul when thou hast found it then there shall be a reward and thy expectation shall not be cut off." We can only gain true wisdom from the Word of God so with the new year starting I am going to commit myself to spending more time in His Word than this past year! - Wes Smith

1 Samuel 15:22a - "And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord?" Saul worshipped as he saw fit and when confronted was full of excuses. Sound familiar? Are we following the instructions of the Bible and simply obeying God's Word or conforming our worship to what we feel like is acceptable and excusing away the conviction from the Holy Spirit? - Jason Brothers

Acts 17:6 - "And...they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also." We may not be able to change the entire world, but we can do everything possible to influence our corner of the world for Jesus Christ. It would be the ultimate epitaph to say "he turned the world upside down," but that only comes when we completely sell out to Christ and let Him use us how He sees fit. - Steve Boots
